Home / House Washing
Your siding is a shade lighter than you think.
Soft wash house washing for vinyl, brick, stucco and fiber cement across Greenville, Spartanburg and the Upstate.
What builds up on siding
Green film on the north wall. Gray dirt streaks under the gutters. Black spots on the soffit. Cobwebs in every corner and a wasp nest behind the shutter. It builds up slowly enough that most people stop seeing it — until the neighbor gets theirs washed.
Almost all of it is organic: algae, mildew and pollen bonded to the surface, plus road dust and whatever the gutters overflowed. Rain doesn't remove it. It feeds it.
How we wash a house
Siding gets soft washed, same principle as a roof. Low pressure, cleaning solution, dwell time, rinse. High pressure on vinyl can force water behind the panels and into the wall, and on older painted wood it can take paint with it. There's no reason to risk either when the solution does the work.
- Windows and doors checked, hose bib located, landscaping pre-wet
- Solution applied from the bottom up so it doesn't streak
- Siding, soffits, fascia, gutter faces, porch ceilings and shutters
- Rinsed top down, plants rinsed again
- Walk-through before we leave
What it does for the house
- Gets the actual color of the siding back
- Clears mildew and algae growth rather than just wetting it down
- Makes a real difference in listing photos if you're selling
- Takes down cobwebs, dirt daubers and nests along the eaves
Most people book house washing with a roof cleaning and a driveway cleaning in the same visit.

House washing FAQ
How much does house washing cost?
It comes down to the size of the house, how many stories, and how much growth is on it. Text us a few photos of the house and we'll get you a number.
Will it damage my vinyl siding?
Siding is soft washed at low pressure specifically so water isn't forced behind the panels. That's the whole reason we do it this way.
Can you wash brick and stucco?
Yes. Both get handled at low pressure with a solution appropriate for the surface. Older mortar and painted brick need a lighter touch, so tell us what you have.
Do you clean windows too?
Exterior window glass gets rinsed as part of the wash, but that isn't the same as a detailed window cleaning. Ask us what you're after.
How long does it take?
A typical single-story house is a half day or less. Two-story homes and larger footprints take longer.
How often should a house be washed?
It depends on shade, tree cover and which walls get sun. A lot of Upstate homes look right getting it done every year or two — but look at the north side of your house and you'll know.
How soon can you come out?
Usually three to five days from when you book, weather permitting.
Do I need to be home?
No. We do need access to water at the house.
What if I'm not happy with it?
We'll come back and touch it up, free.
