Why Upstate roofs get dirty so fast
Humid summers, mild winters, heavy tree cover and a long pollen season. Roof algae thrives in exactly that, which is why so many houses here have black streaks by year eight or ten. Neighborhoods under mature oaks and pines — a lot of the Upstate — hold moisture on the north-facing slopes and grow moss on top of the algae.
It's the same story from Travelers Rest down to Fountain Inn. The only real difference between houses is how much shade they sit in.
Outside the list?
Give us a call. If it's a reasonable drive we'll come, and if it isn't we'll say so rather than string you along.
