When we treat your roof for algae streaking, that treatment is backed by the Moss Free Guarantee.
If treated algae streaks return within 12 months of your roof cleaning, we'll come back and touch up the affected area at no charge.
Why we guarantee our roof cleaning
Roof cleaning is what we do. Not an add-on to a pressure washing business — the main thing. We soft wash, which means low pressure and a cleaning solution that treats the organic growth behind those black streaks instead of blasting the shingle.
Here's our thinking. Nobody should pay to have a roof cleaned and then watch the same treated streaking come back a few months later. If that happened, the job didn't do what you paid for. So we put a 12-month guarantee on the algae streaking we treat.
What we're not telling you is that your roof will stay spotless for a year. Leaves fall, pollen happens, and organic growth is a fact of life in the Upstate. The guarantee is specific: treated algae streaking, treated areas, 12 months. More on how the cleaning itself works.

Moss Free treats the roof using our soft wash roof-cleaning process.

Treated areas are covered for 12 months
The areas we treated are covered against the return of visible algae streaking for 12 months from the date of your service.

If it comes back, contact us
We'll look at the affected area and, if it's covered, touch it up at no charge.
What's covered
The return of visible algae streaking on roof surfaces Moss Free treated during your original roof cleaning, within 12 months of that service.
What's not
Plain English, so there are no surprises later. The guarantee doesn't cover:
- Areas we didn't treat during the original service
- New roof sections or replacement shingles installed after we cleaned
- Physical roof damage, and storm, wind, hail or tree damage
- Staining from rust, paint, roofing materials, chimney runoff or anything else that isn't algae
- Leaves, pine needles, dirt, sap and other debris
- New moss or lichen growth
- Anything caused by roof leaks, drainage problems or structural issues
- Work done or chemicals applied by another contractor after our service
We may ask for photos or come look at the roof to work out whether a claim qualifies.
